Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BrickHunter website and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Geiger Tamás e.v. (see section 12). By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description

BrickHunter is a LEGO® set price comparison service. We aggregate prices from multiple third-party retailers to help you find deals, and we let registered users build wishlists, set target prices, and receive notifications when the price drops. We are not a retailer and do not sell LEGO® sets ourselves.

Each market is served from its own country domain (for example, .hu, .ro, .sk). Prices and available shops vary between markets.

2. Accuracy of information

Prices, stock levels, promotions, and retailer information on the Service are collected automatically from the retailers listed in the Service and may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect at the time you view them. We make reasonable efforts to keep data fresh, but we cannot guarantee its accuracy and do not warrant that any particular offer is still valid. Always verify the final price, availability, and delivery terms on the retailer's own website before placing an order.

3. Registration and user accounts

You may use many parts of the Service without registering. To use the wishlist, price-alert, notification features and to view prices from shops in other markets on the product detail pages, you must create an account or sign in with Google or Facebook.

When you create or use an account, you agree that:

  • You provide accurate information (a valid email address and your real or usual name).
  • You are at least 16 years old, or have the consent of your parent or legal guardian.
  • You keep your login credentials confidential and are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.
  • You notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect that your account has been accessed without authorisation.
  • You do not create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits, notification limits, or other restrictions.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is governed by a 14-day grace period described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes any third party's rights.
  • Scrape, crawl, mirror, or otherwise copy significant portions of the Service in an automated way, except as allowed by our robots.txt for public search engines.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, or to other users' accounts.
  • Submit content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, or infringes intellectual-property rights (for example, in wishlist notes).
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Service, including by flooding it with requests, exploiting vulnerabilities, or bypassing technical safeguards.
  • Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unsolicited commercial communications.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, and to remove content that violates them, with or without prior notice depending on the severity.

5. Outbound links to retailers

Product and price listings link to third-party retailer websites through our /go/... redirect. When you click one of these links, you leave the Service and your interaction with the retailer is governed by that retailer's own terms and privacy policy. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer, and we are not responsible for the retailer's products, prices, delivery, customer service, or complaint handling.

Some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we may receive a commission if you complete a purchase. This never affects the price you pay and never influences the ranking of offers, which is based solely on price (and, where relevant, delivery cost and stock status).

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Service content

The Service, including its source code, layout, design, text (excluding product names and descriptions sourced from third parties), and aggregated data, is owned by or licensed to Geiger Tamás e.v. and is protected by copyright and related rights. You may view the Service for your own, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written permission.

6.2 LEGO® trademarks

LEGO®, the LEGO® logo, the Minifigure, and all related marks are trademarks of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorise, or endorse this Service. Product names and images are used only for identification and to help users find the sets they are looking for. All rights in these marks remain with the LEGO Group.

6.3 User content

When you add a note to a wishlist item or otherwise submit content through the Service, you retain ownership of that content, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and display it back to you as part of providing the Service. We will not publish your notes publicly.

7. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may introduce, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, for example to perform maintenance, address security issues, or improve the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of changes that materially affect registered users.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • inaccurate, outdated, or missing prices, stock, or retailer information;
  • any transaction you enter into with a third-party retailer reached via the Service;
  • loss of data, profits, savings, or goodwill, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
  • interruption, delay, or unavailability of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence, personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you as a consumer. In particular, if you are a consumer in the European Union, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected by these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects your rights, give you notice in the Service or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the new Terms, you may close your account as described in section 3.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Hungarian and EU mandatory consumer protection law continues to apply where you are a consumer.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service falls under the jurisdiction of the competent Hungarian courts. If you are a consumer domiciled in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your Member State of residence, and you have access to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
